A western Ouachita Parish woman was arrested Friday in connection with the reported cruelty of the infirm.

Elizabeth Johnson, 32, of 106 Olive Lane, was booked into Ouachita Correctonal Center on a count of cruelty to the infirm (domestic) under Gwen’s Law.

Ouachita Parish sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the residence in connection with a reported domestic disturbance.

According to the arrest affidavit, Johnson told deputies she had been arguing with the victim when she began pushing and hitting the victim.

The victim told deputies he has diabetes and is on dialysis. He has a port coming from his chest. The victim told deputies that Johnson threatened him, saying, “I’m going to kill you by pulling your port out.” The victim told deputies Johnson reached for his port, and when he pushed her away, caused Johnson to fall.

The victim also told deputies Johnson began stomping on his foot, which is partially amputated because of the diabetes.

Johnson reportedly told deputies, “Everything is my fault. I started it all.”
